The centre of the district is Tetyushi. Area – 1638,3 square km. Population - 27 thousand people. There is a pier on the Volga. The city of Tetyushi is situated on the right bank of the Kuibyshev reservoir (there is the Tetyushi pier), 129 km to the south from Kazan, 45 km to the east from the railway station Bua.
